The Kasumigaseki Building, known as Japan’s first skyscraper, is 147 meters and 36 stories high, and celebrated the 50th anniversary of its completion in 2018. Until then, the height of the building was limited to 31m, but in the 1960s, revisions to systems and laws including the Building Standards Act made it possible to construct high-rise buildings exceeding 31m in height. It was. Many new technologies that were developed in connection with this project site at that time are still passed on as general technologies for the subsequent construction of skyscrapers.
